The Instrumental Feeling

A note, a key, a sound of instrument.
A breath, a sigh, a sound of life.
A music, a song, is what I long.
It's here today and tomorrow its gone.
I've been listening to a musical by a friend of mine, and it is just simply amazing and soothing to my ears. I love it a lot. In fact I love it so much that I decided to write about it here. You can download the musical here:

The song is originally by Jimmy Palikat from Sabah. The song 'Anak Kampung' is a story about a village boy who felt in love with a beautiful girl. As much as he love her but he just can't do anything about it.

He said "its not that I don't like you but I don't want you to live miserably with me. It's because I love you, I'm letting you go to someone else".

At time I do think that its easier to let go than to fight for a feeling which is uncertain in the long run. Unless you are very sure about it, then don't risk it.

Waiting patiently for the next wave to come. Waiting for it to carry me away.

Yours truly,

Beaten Down

It's like a fall. Nothing that you can grab hold to. Nothing that can stop you from falling. The sky is out of reach. Wondering when will all this end.

It's Friday and I know somehow I should be writing some happy post, but then again I just needed to get this off my chest. I don't know why, but I am very tired. I felt beaten down.

I didn't really do well in the office this week. I procrastinated a lot of work. I didn't feel like doing anything at all. If my boss know about this, for sure I'll get a warning. Then again, there's so much of internal conflicts in the company. I tried not to care so much, but somehow it gets to me.

I workout inconsistently this week. I didn't even manage to finish my normal routine. I can't even finish a 5 laps jog. I don't feel like doing the stairs. I'm tired all the way. I don't know what's on my mind but there's just too many things I'm reluctant to do.

Oh man, I really feel weak. I can't seems to find that positive side of me. I know this is temporary but going through it still suck big time. I really need God in this. I need Him badly!

I'm sorry if I bring you down, but please know that I'm also human, haha. I'll try to be super positive during the weekend and hopefully this feeling would pass. No matter what religion you are, please pray for me. Thank you =)

Give Blood, Give Life, Get Gift!

On Sunday, I went and donated my blood for the 3rd time this year. It was an event organized by the City Care Community and because they have it frequently every 3 month, so I just decided to stick with them and be a regular to them.

My blood type is 'O', a universal donor. So it will be selfish of me if I didn't take the effort to donate my blood and help save other people's life. Oh yeah, I'm saving life of a stranger... how noble of me XD

It has been a practice that my dad pass down to me and I'm really glad that I get to do this. My dad always does his best to help others and it is something that I take pride of and proud of my dad. I too don't want to waste my life time just to live for myself, I want to think others also.

I donated more than 10 times already!

Anyway, if you never donated your blood before, or you hesitated before, I encourage you to take that step of faith and just let the needle poke your vain and your blood flows out of your body! Haha, I didn't really put it in the most encouraging ways but trust me, it helps you to sleep better afterwards.

I get a FREE 4GB pendrive from City Care cause I'm a 3rd time donor!
*big cheesy grin*

Until next time, see you around my friend =)

Movie Review: Contagion (2011)

Contented 5/10

The first thing that attract me about the movie is what it's about and the second thing is the line up of the mega stars cast. It was all good, it didn't disappoint me much but it didn't exceed my expectation also.

The story and plot it was all good. I love how they didn't over exaggerated the whole scenario (tho I wish they would) and how different kind of people would react to the whole event.

I just personally think that they didn't good deeper enough with the human's emotion to be able to affect the audience. To me, it was an average good movie to watch.

Until next time, see you around my friend =)

Movie Review: Nasi Lemak 2.0 (2011)

Awesome Malaysia 5/10

After all the hurrah by my friends and my strong inner desire to watch the movie, finally I'm able to catch the movie last week and it was full house all the way!

I have to give all the credits for Namewee's passion to come out with the film. Tho it's a low budgeted film but the quality and the essence of the film is truly amazing.

It was a slow build up at the beginning but after that it was all fun and funny to watch. I like the all star cast members who is willingly to help out with the film. They really do bring out the spices and the colors of the message that the movie is trying to tell.

All in all, it's one of the best local movie that I have seen. Looking forward to more of Namewee's work on the silver screen in the future and hopefully better!

By the way, the Melaka trip in the movie is my favorite part! What about yours?

Until next time, see you around my friend =)

First Go Kart with the G Force Experience!

Oh yes! Ladies and gentleman, children of all ages... Go Kart is absolutely amazing! Finally I realize what F1 is all about and I begin to have a new level of respect for all the racers in the world.

Thank you, Daniel Franklin Gomez for organizing the event and for inviting me along.

It was truly worth the RM150 that I paid. You'll have the warm up rounds, the preliminary rounds and of course the 12 laps race! The best thing about it, is that the track is designed just like the Sepang F1 Circuit, only smaller scale.

The speed gives you that feeling you wish to have when you are on the highway and there's no toll booth or speed traps to slow you down. The adrenalin rush kicks in like drugs being shove up your nostrils, and all you want is to go faster. The excitement when people cut you off and you just determine to cut them back...

Oh gosh I can go on and on about the experience, but nothing beats the feeling of trying it out yourself. I highly recommend Go Kart-ing too all you adrenalin junkie! Haha.

I didn't plan this but I end up driving Go Kart #8 and I came in #5 in the race... room 8 five. Haha, it was my first time and I didn't think I have given out all my best. I was freakin' scared of the corners and used my break too much.

I'm getting a bit used to it now and next time I'll be able to improve on my personal best (1:19.65). Yes NEXT TIME! I can't wait for that to come, haha.

Restoran Murni @ Dataran Mentari, Bandar Sunway

My guy boss treat us lunch last week and I'm really grateful for that. He has always been generous ever since the first day he joined the company. Well in fact, both of my boss is also very generous and me, I am a very happy worker, haha.

Maryland Fried Rice

Special Fried Rice

Fried Kuey Teow

Fried Noodle

Mango Juice Special served in a bottle.

Murni's foods and drinks has always been legendary ever since my first visit to Murni in SS2, where it is first originated (correct me if I'm wrong). Sadly I don't really like how the one in Mentari operates.

The foods was cold when it reached our table, even the chicken chop in my Maryland fried rice taste something like a pre-cook fried chicken that's just came out from a fridge.

No offence, maybe it was lunch hour where demands are just too much to handle by them, and everything had to be prepared earlier just to make sure everyone gets their food on time. I tried their foods before, off lunch hour and it was good.

To me Murni still offers good foods, big portions and it comes with a price, haha.

Until next time, see you around my friend =)

Foods Talk!

Well, just to up date a bit on my workout today, I have install this apps from the market called 'Workout Trainer' and it has a lot of workout that you can try out plus a trainer's voice to guide you through and to push you through the workout also.

Well, after so many post about my workout plan, I never really share about my foods diet. Honestly its because I don't have one. I ate whatever I want and I never really do any of those carbo diet or whatever diet plan that people can come out with.

My diet is very simple, eat lesser and workout more! Tho I said I can eat whatever I want (I just ate KFC yesterday!) but that doesn't mean I can eat like there's no tomorrow, or that its applicable on everyday basis. I will only go out and eat when there is an occasion to celebrate or friends wanted to hangout.

If there's just too much occasion, you just need to learn to plan your meal, eat lesser for your lunch or just eat lesser during the occasion (I didn't eat anything at night after I had KFC for lunch). It's your body and you need to be able to take control over it. Don't be taken over by temptation of the foods, and most importantly do not skipped your workout!

Aite, I guess that's it for today. I'll try to provide more useful info about diet and workout next time, haha.

Until next time, see you around my friend =)

Exciting Friday!

So it's Friday again. One of the most celebrated day by every working people and perhaps students also. Looking forward for the weekend to chill with friends, me time and whats not. Friday is always the most carefree day in office... until you received some 'love mail' from your boss.

Its going to be a jammed pack weekend for me especially on Saturday. I really can't wait to start my Saturday morning A.S.A.P. I'm going to spend some fun filled, tummy filled, and excitement filled weekend with different bunch of friends and I'll be posting about that next week.

Well, having saying that, I can't neglect my workout too! I'm going to tryout some really hardcore workout this weekend. I'll be updating a lil' bit on that tomorrow. Hopefully I don't become the first person who use workout as a method of committing suicide, haha. Okay, that's not funny - commit suicide is wrong!

Anyway... my female boss is treating us with KFC today so yea... I'm happy! Muahaha extra calories to burn!!! Oh by the way, if you are bored in office, try this :: Draw A Stick Man ::

Have a great weekend people!!! =)

Carlessness

That is one of the image that pop out when I searched for 'carless'. Haha, I have no idea what is the significant of it but I sure wish I am Merman, and I could just swim freely to wherever and whenever I wanted to.

Anyway, I am trying very hard everyday to do what I have preached all this time; focus on what you have and not what you don't have. Currently I don't have a car and as much as I'm trying to be positive about it but sometimes I do get frustrated and wish that I have a car right here right now.

Just when I thought being optimistic is easy, I tried to enjoy all the moment when I get to walk. The scenery in the park, walking under the rain, the opportunity to workout. It's just that when I really wanted to go somewhere, it's really time consuming for me to walk or its just too far away and I just get disappointed/frustrated.

Owning a car will also has its own problems, but I don't think I will rush in trying to get one just because of my craving to join some of my friends for wall climbing at Purtrajaya or so that it would be easier for me to take a girl out for dinner..... Anyway...

I just want to be grateful that I'm still able to wake up and RUN after my dreams! Woohoo!

Until next time, see you around my friend =)

Chasing After A Girl II

by Daniel Chiam

Well, the first part of it we talked about just be yourself, and now lets cover the second part of the chasing game - be confident!

People always think that when you are okay with yourself, or that you are able to be just yourself, confidence will follow through easily, then again I find that's not true. No one is made perfect and yet we try to be perfect for the one we like.

Though it is still very early in the stage but some guys tend to take their thoughts far away and thus take away their confidence. At this point of time, you should really be focusing on being a friend first rather than trying so hard to be the perfect one.

Confidence is the key to start that first 'hi' or 'hello' and it is the most important thing for a first impression. Don' place your confidence on what the girl might want you to be or who you think she wants to be with, but place your confidence on how strong the feeling you have for her, and you must get to know her no matter what.

Don't make things too complicated. Just focus on being friends, close friends and if everything is right, then only you take it to the next level in the relationship. Let your foundation be right, it helps to build a strong relationship whether as a friends or as a couple in the future. Be confident!

Movie Review: Johnny English Reborn (2011)

Good Laugh 4/10

It's not a memorable movie. Nothing in it is making any sense. Stupidly illogical. Funny like mad! I did had a great laugh in the cinema for this movie. It's a no brainer movie, so don't try so hard to try and make sense of everything.

Watching Rowan Atkinson in this film, its like watching the smarter version  of Mr. Bean. I don't think he will  ever be apart from being significant to that character. It's really entertaining to see all the funny thing he does.

Not going to comment about the story line, plot or anything. It's a comedy. Go watch and have a good laugh!

Until next time, see you around my friend =)

Late Night Workout

I don't know if it's bad or good but it has become a routine for me on the weekdays to do my workout after midnight. The main reason being is, that's the only time I have for workout.

I used to be able to come home from work and straight away hit the gym for one or two hours, but its been months now since I last did that. Every time I reached home from work, I am just mentally tired and all I want to do is to take a nap.

It's either that or I have dates with friends and by the time I reached home, its already late at night. Since I'm very committed to workout no matter what, I'll just grab my workout shoes and go down to the parking lot for a jog or if I'm really on fire... I'll choose the stairs instead.

I have no idea about my progress so far. I don't have a scale at home that I can use to keep track of my weight, but I do know that I am able to wear my brother's jacket which I can't fit last time and always promise myself that I will lose weight just to be able to inherit that jacket of his, haha.

Anyway, my Gymboss is already here (hurrah!). Will only be able to try it on Monday, cause I left it in the office (sigh).

Don't give up on trying harder people... We need to learn to stay focus all the time and make sure this time we'll end up achieving something at the end of the day!

Until next time, see you around my friend =)

Chasing After A Girl

by Daniel Chiam

Chasing after a girl is easy! All you need is just a quick pair of legs and lungs big enough to contain more oxygen.... Oh yeah! Alright, lame joke aside; and let's really go into the main topic here.

Ask any sane men or women, they will tell you that, if you want to go after someone you like; just be yourself and be confident. First, be yourself.

How hard is it to just be yourself? You were born to it. Tho you live your life growing up trying to be someone else, that is who you are, and by term and definition you are still just being yourself.

I can't really understand why would someone willing to trade place with a different person just to get a girl they like for that moment. Don't we prefer a girl that would like us for who we are rather than trying so hard to be someone who we are not - all the time?

Unless you are changing to become a better version of yourself, then I wouldn't suggest trying to be someone else just to get a girl. That would be wasting too much time and in the end of the day it's just not worth it.

I can't speak on behalf of the girls but I am pretty sure that when they decided to be with a guy, they expect to get what they see and not two totally different person when dating and when in a relationship. So why fake something you are not when all it does is just confusions at the end?

Movie Review: Hanna (2011)

Afternoon Delight 4/10

I sort of like the whole idea of the movie, about a young beautiful teenage girl who is trained since young to become an assassin and take revenge on her mother's death. When she comes out to the world as well trained as she is in skills, but nothing prepared her emotionally for the world beyond her knowledge.

Quite an interesting twist at the end of the story tho the movie in whole is just moderately entertaining for its kind. Overall it is still watchable and Saoirse Ronan's acting skill does need to be complemented in this film.

Until next time, see you around my friend =)

Happy Mooncake Festival

Yesterday was the Mid-Autumn Festival aka the Mooncake Festival. It's a harvest festival that's celebrate by the Chinese on every 15th day of the 8th month in the Chinese calendar.

For me, it's always the day where the moon shines the brightest!

It's been ages since I last celebrated the festival. Playing with lanterns, eating mooncakes and just have fun with bunch of friends. There's always that different kind of feeling when you are out with your friends on a normal day and going out for an occasion.

Not only did I get to hangout, play with lantern and also ate a homemade mooncake (which is super delicious), I also get to see the Sky Lantern (Kongming Lantern) for the first time ever!

If not mistaken, it is also known as a wishing lantern, where you will write down all your wishes on the lantern, and then release it to the air where it will go up to heaven and that the gods will be able to see your wishes and perhaps grant them for you.

Well, we are not there for the superstitions and no wish was written. Seeing it go up to the air and just fade into the darkness does give me a time to pause and just be mesmerize by it. Allowing myself to be flooded with thoughts, haha.

So how was your Mid-Autumn Festival?

Until next time, see you around my friend =)
