Movie Review: Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close (2011)

Teary Story 5/10

Thomas Horn performance in the movie is absolutely amazing. I'm truly impress with his ability to bring to life  the emotions of a kid who is seeking for closure after losing his father in the 9/11 incident. 

I didn't read the book yet but after watching the movie, I believe the book itself would be much better than the movie. If you want to win a copy of the book, you can visit randomdotfm's book giveaway (dateline 13 May 2012).

I can see why some might find the film sickly or overly sentimental, even a little forced, but it worked well enough on me to have me wiping away a few tears.
