The event started with a death defying act by the 'Magic Babe' Ning (whose also known as 'The Sexiest Woman in magic) - 'Extreme Inverted Double Straitjackets Escape'. She was strapped in double straitjackets, hang upside down 30 feet above the ground, with fire burning the rope that's holding her up in the sky and she needs to take off BOTH the straitjackets before the fire burned off the rope in order to escape death.

A press conference was held on the 27th of June 2012 for the official media launch of the Genting International Magic Festival 2012; that will be happening this coming August 1st till September 9th. A line up of superstars in magic will set foots in the high altitude of Genting, ready to put the audience in awe!

It was also made known to us that it was the first time in the world such an act performed by a female magician! Wooohoo you don't get to see that everyday! It was then followed by the official launch of the Genting International Magic Festival 2012.
The later press conference was very easy going as Mr. Kevin Tann from the Genting management has made the press conference filled with laughter with his sense of humor. Everyone was already entertain even before the real event has even begun.
