Movie Review: The Expendables 2 (2012)

by Daniel Chiam from The Writer Wannabe

7/10 Great Assembling of Actions Heroes

The Expendables 2 is much more entertaining than the previous one. The line up of casts is definitely a dream-team came true if you grew up watching Stallone, Schwarzenegger, Willis, Van Damne and Norris as your actions heroes.

Don't bother about the logic of them going into war and no one really hurts or die, they are after all our respected actions heroes and ever since the first expendables came out, I have treated it as a tribute movie for them which they will be invisible to all their enemies.

I love the script a lot. Any script that knows how to play with words is my favorite. You really have to know some of their tagline in their own previous respective movies just to get some of the joke. If not you'll probably think that it's just some lame joke. It was overall brutal and entertaining to watch, way better than the first one.

The best fight scene:
The fact that Jet Li only has a short appearance in the movie and with only one fight scene, the best fight scene in The Expandables 2 has to goes to Jason Statham and his skillful arts with the blade.

The most epic and funny moment:
It has got to be when Chuck Norris appear! If you never seen Chuck Norris in any movie before, I bet you heard a lot of jokes about him being so almighty, haha. Norris making an appearance is such a privilege and for him to go along with the cobra joke, it was EPIC FUNNY! It got me laughing and chuckle just by thinking about it.

WTHeck moment:
I believe all the girls will have to agree with me on this one, it was when Van Damme killed Liam Hemsworth. I was like, that was it?! Oh well, at least he gets to act along side legends right?

Salute to all the actions heroes for making my childhood so much more kick ass and exciting!
