I got really excited after I watched the trailer. Fairy tale story with a darker twist is absolutely my cup of tea. Tho most of the previous released of such genre was not so impressive, but I still love the idea of it.
Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters is the follow up story of Hansel and Gretel after 15 years since the incident where they were almost being eaten by a witch but instead the witch was killed by the sibling. Ever since then, both was trained and became witch hunters to take down witch(es) that are causing problems to any villages.
Jeremy Renner (The Bourne Legacy) will take the role as Hansel while Gretel will be played by the astoundingly beautiful Gemma Arterton (Clash of The Titans). Finally I am able to see Gemma in a more kick ass actions film again.
Written and directed by the Norwegian filmmaker - Tommy Wirkola. He said the movie is definitely going to be R-rated movie, and so I am expecting for some serious actions NOT to be disappointed (hopefully). I also like some of the modern technology that's being incorporated in much olden style for the movie. It really gives you that feel of how cool it is if we could live in those era with the knowledge we have now.
Anyway, I really can't wait to catch the movie in January 2013. Witches, cool medieval weapons, Gemma in tight suit, and hopefully some serious bad ass actions too. It's going to be one heck of a date in the cinema that I don't want to missed.
