Have you ever watched the movie Ong Bak and being super impressed by the fight scenes? Does it make you have that inner desire to want to watch Muay Thai fighters in actions up close and personal? Well, at least I have :p
Muay Thai is a martial art originated from Thailand and it has been known to be one of the most vicious body contact sport there is. You blood thirsty people, October 9, 2012 at Sunway Pyramid Convention Center, one of the biggest Muay Thai fight in Malaysia will take place! Checkout the tickets pricing HERE.
In conjunction with the event, Dragon Muaythai Club has invited Nuffnang's bloggers to attend the Elite Boxing's Muaythai Saved My Life Workshop to learn a thing or two about Muay Thai and personally get into some physical actions themselves.
Everyone was being introduced with a few basic moves of Muay Thai. It's all started with the basic jab, punches, elbow, knee, and a lot of kicking. After awhile of getting used to it, everyone was being taught with some basic combo for the previous moves that they have learnt.
Muay Thai, like any other martial arts requires a lot of discipline in order to master it or you can just learn enough of it for self defense purposes. A lot of news was travelling around about how unsafe it is to be out in the parking lot or when you were driving alone. Hopefully with a little bit of Muay Thai knowledge, you can protect yourself and give you that confidence when going out alone.
I personally think that Muay Thai is really cool to learn not just because of the actions and adrenalin that you get to have, but mostly its because of the culture, discipline and the respect you have for the sport. In a way, it really make you humble as a person. I would really love to be apart of the sport one day.
Well, if you are interested in learning the art of Muay Thai for self defense purposes or to be a champion in the sport, then you can checkout Dragon Muaythai Club through the information below:
