The
Treasure Hunt on day 1 was really fun, but what's install for day 2 excites me the most - jungle trekking!
As a kampung boy from a small town in Sabah, going into the jungle is not something new for me, but I have been absence for long and I miss the presence to be in the mist of mother nature rather than the concrete jungle that I've seen everyday.

| Awana Genting Long House |
Awana Genting Long House is our meeting place that morning. After a short briefing of what to expect and safety precaution, followed by a warm up session, everyone is good to go into the forest.
Basically there are two trail which are provided - Awana Nature Trail (1.8km) and Eco Trail (3.8km). Our trail that day; Eco Trail - 3.8km walks into the rain forest of Awana Genting.

It's been ages since I saw a river!
(The last time was back in CNY 2012 at Taiping) |

| Mother nature at its best |
It was raining the night before and thus making it a suitable condition for the lil' blood sucker to come out and party in the wild. Leeches every where along the trail and I dislike their presence! -_- I get uncomfortable with them around but these lil' bugger won't stop me from continuing my journey.

| To commemorate our first pit stop |
After enjoying ourselves at the first pit stop and clearing up the leeches that sucking our blood dry, we continued further into forest until we reached our second pit stop and this time, I refuse to let yet another opportunity slipped away from me. I dipped myself into the river! OH SO REFRESHING AND COLD!
The crystal clear water gives me a sense of satisfaction, a clear mind and a feeling of belonging which I have not felt for long. It is as if a burden was lifted up. Oh, how God's creation has greatly blessed me that day.

| Completing a task given with the teammates |
That was our last pit stop before we went up hill (which is very tiring for most of us) to go back to the Awana Genting Long House where we all started. It was a great experience going into the forest. Tho it was quite tiring but for what it has given, it was all well worth it. I really don't mind doing it again!
Before all of us heading back to the hotel for our lunch, we were all required to fulfill our final duty - tree planting! I think Nisa gave a name to our tree, but I can't recall at the moment xD
 |
| Fulfilling our social responsibility - tree planting |
That was the main event on day 2. I couldn't have ask for anything better, it was all a great experience to hangout with bloggers in the forest and helping each other through out the journey. Urgh, I still dislike leeches tho!
Thank you
